Main Activities of CHAMPS-BD IT teams

• Developing and maintaining Electronic Data Capture System for Surveillance and Survey Run in Windows, Web or Android platform
• Maintaining different Servers
• Designing and managing Databases
• Preparing Data Code book and working file for analysis
• Developing and maintaining online monitoring system and dashboard
• Giving training to data collectors, Project Research Physician and other CHAMPS Staff about data collection and use of software
• Analyzing data and preparing different tables depending on the requirements of CHAMPS Staff
• Prepare project report
• Scan different slides contain tissues that is collected from MITS Cases
• Provide other technical support related to software and hardware

CHAMPS-BD IT has developed and implement the following Data Capture and Reporting Software

• CHAMPS Baseline Survey System – To collect Household and Individual level information (Demographic and Socio-Economic information, HH member’s information) at the beginning of CHAMPS.
• Demographic Surveillance System – To capture the Demographic information of a household, Changes of different events of an individual like Education, Occupation, Marital Status, Migration, Births, Deaths.
• Pregnancy Surveillance System – To collect information related to Woman’s Reproductive History, Pregnancy, Delivery, ANC, PNC and Immediate Newborn Care.
• REDCap System - With the guidance of CHAMPS informatics team, we implemented the REDCap application to capture information of Consent Authorization, Specimen Collection to Pathology Report, Child Clinical Abstraction, Maternal Registry, Maternal Clinical Abstraction.
• Software for Expansion Area – To collect Demographic and SES, Woman’s Reproductive History, Pregnancy, Delivery, ANC, PNC and Immediate Newborn Care information in Expansion area.
• Specimen Tracking System – To track and manage the shipment of collected different specimen from MITS cases. Also ensure any collected specimen can be tracked through the system.
• CHAMPS tracker – To capture the information of births, < 5 (years old baby) deaths, stillbirths and hospital admission’s notification from Study Facility or Community (Baliakandi) and informed other member of the team about death and birth (Live/Still) through email and Text message.
• Software for Call Centre – Receive phone call from the community replated to illness and can track the referred person
• Indicator Survey – Collect ANC, PNC, Essential Newborn Care, Diabetic, Blood Pressure information of Recently Delivered Woman or Woman having under 5 years old babies for a specific time period (2017-2018)
• System for SCANU – Survey to collect information from FMCH SCANU
• Software for Verbal Autopsy – Collect the information of different cause of death (sign and symptom, reason) of under 5 old baby and woman in reproductive age group.
• Installing Slide Scanner: Setup the Slide Scanner and established a mechanism to transfer the scanned files to CHAPMS PO Office.
• Setup NVIVO Server – To Manage the qualitative data.
